What's the chance of nine Russians being in the last 16?

Although I don't like it when too many players from the same country remain so late in a GS, it's still amazing that 9 out of the 16 spots could be taken by the same country. Is it a record ever? I think so...

Exclamation

Close to zero. I don't give Panova much of a chance against Molik, but you never know.

7 Russians in the round of 16. 4 of them teenagers.

Svetlana has won 10 straight matches at the majors.
But she will probably have to beat the last 2 Wimbledon champions to make the final.
Very difficult.

It would be amazing, but still, if you look at the size of Belgium and the size of Russia ...

well...
i'd love an all russian semi's...
but that's too much to ask.
if i could choose the winner - it would be petrova!
i really REALLY want her to take her f**king first title...
and i don't mind if it's a grand one, i'm very liberal...

plus, i think that rebound ace should do her good.

if you have nothing important to say, please do so in non-tennis forum. if you have something you think is important, but is actually rubbish regarding anything other than tennis - please do so in the non-tennis forum. if you have something tennis related to say, but it's actually "OMG, X player is so h0t!1" or "who has the biggest boobs on the wtatour" please do so in menstennisforum, under "wta forum". if you have something important, tennis-related and interesting to say please do so. No one in the world can understand how much tennis means to someone, except another fan.
