Hobart Showdown: (1) Amy Frasier vs. Na Li

There were only 3 players I did not want Na Li to face early in Hobart. Frasier, Vadisova and Safina. Now she draws Amy in the first round in a match worthy of the final (also Dinara and Nicole will likely square off in 2nd round - tough draw for all four). Amy will be fighting for every point as she is the defending champ so it will definitely be a tough match. Who do you think will win?

i REALLY hope ay wins. think she can too. she played uncharacteristically badly agauinst asagoe and barely lost (from what i've heard), so hopefully she can turn it around and play great against Li, who is a fantastic player whom i have never seen.

Probably Amy will win this as she is defending champion - Na Li will probably take the first set easily and then lose the second on a tiebreak before Amy winning the third either 6/4 or 7/5

I'm sure Na Li will win this match in straights. She's just too good...this is her tournament!

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

No

Only when she has to play against an established top player ... last week it was #1 seed Petrova. This week it is #1 seed Frazier

Yeah, we didn't call Garbin v Na a showdown, and Li did win 3 and 1

Na Li has been getting bad draws to start off the season
I think she can beat Amy but it will be close.
