Nuria Llagostera Vives particularly annoying or what?

On the Tennis NZ site, the reporters states in his article -

Tu, who qualified as a lucky loser after the withdrawal of Petra Mandula through injury, never got into her stride as Craybas raced into the second round and a match with fifth seed Marion Bartoli.

And radio commentators nightmare, Nuria Llagostera Vives, is also through to round two.

The Spaniard knocked out Luxembourg's Anne Kremer in straight sets 6-3 6-3 to set to a clash with flu-stricken number two seed Jelena Jankovic.

Is she a slow poke ala Mary Pierce, Conchita, or what?

She has no weapons, so she runs down balls, she attacks very very seldomly, since she is 5'0 (if that tall), so her matches are not all that exciting but she's a sweety, a very nice girl, so I don't know why they would say that about her.

A good result, she's fighting her way up the rankings. Best of luck to her!

Perhaps that was written because a lot of Anglophones have problems pronouncing foreign names? To them it's a hard name to say?

Just a question which I am asking since I read this strange name last year: How do you pronounce Llagostera?

And where does this strange "Ll" at the beginning comes from such as Lleyton or Llagostera?

PS: It is so bad that Anne Kremer lost to her!

Ok, pronounce.

Pronounce Ll together as one sound: Y - sounds similar to the Y in yesterday or the j in japan.

I don't think that the 'radio commentator's nightmare' is about the difficult prononciation of her name.
If her game is indeed that 'boring', with a non-attacking style; i guess it's hard to be commentating a match like that. Especially on the radio, if it's a tv match, you can let the view speak for itself.

you can pronounce Llagostera "Yah-go-stair"

Nuria hasn't the typpical spanish game, she is very fast and an agressive player.

It's false, her matches are very interesting because she is agressive.

Ask Meghan Shaugnessy about her

It's probably the name

What style does she really have since Gallofa said not agressive at all and LLAGOS-VIVES FAN said she was agressive At 5'0 and being Spanish I can't really see Nuria being a hard-hitter but

Last time I saw her, her backhand was working quite fine
The Ll in Llagostera is pronounced as the "GL" in Italian, it similar to Y but not exactly the same
About the origin of Ll in Spanish Ll was a different letter until the last modification of our alfabet, when Ll became double L and CH , C+H

"Qui n'a connu
Douleur immense
N'aura qu'un aperçu
Du temps
"

I think almost 100% would have been Her name They meant, just heard the radio host complain that "It was surprising how many people didn't pronounce His name properly" went to an ad. break and then announced the order of play today, once He got to Erakovic's match He said "then followed by two players with very long names" talk about the pot calling the kettle black!
