Who can stop Maria Sharapova in Australia?

Well I was hoping Venus could, but apparently not. Kim's out injured. Justine doesn't seem the same player. Who else is there?

Clijsters is injured, she won't be there, unless she's made a miraculous recovery. The top 10? Well that's 9 minus Maria. Can't see anyone there troubling her. They will have to improve to beat her, which they haven't since YEC.

As trite as it seems, she needs to take it one match at a time. Anyone can trip her up if she starts believing she has the title in her hands.

I think there are many players in the top ten who can defeat her. Fortunately she doesn't have to play all of them to take the title.

We'll have to wait to see what the draw looks like.

Serena is a damn good player on form so she could stop Maria!

******* has put Maria and Serena down as the favourites for Aus Open!

Davenport, Mauresmo and Myskina can trash Sharapova, if healthy and focused. Henin, I dunno right now, but if she gets her fitness back, well, she can beat anyone easily. Also Dementieva and Kuznetsova are difficult opponents for Masha. We shall see what this "wondergirl" can do in AO.

I can't think of a witty signature right now. I like turtles.

Mauresmo could probably do it. Venus too, if her serve was on.
