Question N-Code Wilson

Is Wilson making all of their pros switch over to the n-codes? I see Lindsay with it, Roger, Venus switched over, I'm sure Serena will. What is the difference in these rackets? Do they offer more control than the regualr Wilsons? In my opinion watching Lindsay play Maria at Pam's event, it made her balls less penetrating and less powerful. It seems like these rackets are heavy, and if so that means they need more racket head speed to produce power. They offer more control, but will they take away power? Can anyone tell me from experience with a N-Code, or just your knowledge of the N-Code.

Ernie, what was wrong with it? I use the Head Liquidmetal (orange racket), and it works great. Not very heavy, easy to get depth on the ball, and can be used for different spins.

Whats wrong with it? Well i just didnt like it Didnt feel right when i hit it, I use the Head Intelligence Prestige, not saying the NCODE is a bad raquet, its obviously a great one because so many great players use it.

Maybe a little control could help Venus' game I hope the new racquet is a good match for her.

I was thinking that too. That old racket was too powerful for anyone to use. She just needs control and she'll be fine. Serena is switching over to a Federer racket.

i got a hammer H tour 95" for my birthday in october... it is quite simply the best racquet i have ever held in my hands... i previously used tweener racquets like the hyper hammer 6.3 and a head brand that i cant remember but i feel like a real player with this racquet in my hands... the control when i hit with topspin has never ever been better and i know that i can go for my shot with my whole body weight and not be afraid of missing by a mile.. though i had to get used to it for a week or two (mainly due to the smaller headsize, my past was 110" now down to 95"... you can imagine that i was mishitting alot), afterwords my game has increased ten folds... so im really happy with it overall

as for the n code... shoot, its 250 bucks for nearly all of them so i doubt that i will ever own one, lol... but from what i hear it is a very fickle racquet that is much more control orientated that many of the more popularly used wilson brands which tend to lean towards power and power/control... i would like to test drive it, but like i said i am so happy with the h tour

I like the word fickle. That's what I think. If you don't time the ball perfectly you get no pace on it and it goes in the net.

Thats an understatement. I think this control will be great for Venus's game but i doubt we will be able to tell.
