String Tension

Hey guys. I got the Wilson Hyper Hammer XP for Christmas last year, and I've been playing with it at 55 lbs tension for over a year. I'm having it bumped up to 57 lbs and getting new strings. I think they're called Prince Lightning All Around--or something like that. I was going to get Synthetic Gut, but I had no idea what I was doing so I decided not to. My old strings were topspin strings, so please tell me...

Will I be able to tell any difference when I hit the ball? I'm hoping to gain some more control, but I don't know if a 2 lbs increase in tension will make a drastic difference.

Any knowledge/advice is welcome. Thanks in advance!

I use 65 string tension, which is pretty high, I would just bring it up to 60 that is a good tension you well be able to swing free'er with out fear of whacking it out.

I play tournament / county league tennis and have my racket strung at 55-56 lbs as I look to get a bit of extra pace off the ball.

To be honest, if you're just a club player the type of string probably isn't going to affect your play too much - any string in the 18-23 kind of range for a full restring ( US$35-40) is going to do the same job really.
