Berlin SF was a great fight. The Eurosport-Commentator said it was one of the best matches he'd ever seen.

You could have ticked more than one box. But that defeats the purpose of voting for the one best match.

Why is it that the world never remembered the name of Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern-

I voted for Maria def Lindsay 2-6 7-6(5) 6-1 Wimby SF

For the vastly more experianced Davenport to have such a commanding lead going into the 2nd rain break (she was up 6-2 3-1), and for Maria to be able to break her back, keep it even to take the set to a tiebreak, win a close tiebreak 7-5, then be able to effectively sap Lindsay's confidence and shut down her game to run away with the third set was just amazing.

Elena defeats Jen. That final set showed us what womens tennis is all about. Power hitting from back of the court, slice in the wind, net attacks by Elena, lobs by Jen, dropshots, stab volleys, angles, and a 49 stroke rally.

And the crowd was electric.

In terms of a great GS match this trumped every single one IMO, including the Wimby final. At least both Jen and Elena were playing great at the same time.
