. The two WTA tournaments she has played this year have been at Beijing Tier II, where she beat Serra-Zanetti, Ting Li and Marta Domachowska to qualify (all in straight sets) and then beat Nicole Pratt in the main draw (straight sets again) before pushing Kuznetsova, the USO champion, to a final set tiebreaker in a match where she had match points. The following week in Guangzhou she qualified and won the tournament, only once dropping a set (Jankovic).
IMO the only bad losses she has had all year was against Linetskaya and Yan. Pretty consistent if you ask me, and we haven't seen enough of her in WTA matches to judge wholly.
The fruit series is suspended whilst Grachka (obatafan) mourns Saori's retirement.
