Talking ===Pro players when they were juniors.===

It's interesting to compare their rankings in Junior and WTA TOUR. How good they were in the past. and their potentials to be great player.
These are their best rankings in junior.

1995
1-Anna Kournikova (RUS)

1996
1-Amelie Mauresmo (FRA) She has been a good player.

1997
6-Justine Henin (BEL)

1998
1-Jelena Dokic (AUS)
3-Nadia Petrova (RUS)
4-Elena Dementieva (RUS)

1999
1-Lina Krasnoroutskaia (RUS)

2001
1-Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS)
4-Vera Zvonareva (RUS)

2002
2-Vera Douchevina (RUS)
3-Maria Kirilenko (RUS)
7-Maria Sharapova (RUS) : She is way ahead of her friends now.
10-Tatiana Golovin (FRA)

What do you think about their histories?
Does it show something?
In my opinion, it showed that how much they improved and how worse they are.
Although some WTA players weren't in Top10 Junior, they were in Top10 WTA rankings and vice versa.

I think the highest Kim Clijsters ever got, was something around ten or twelve. A few years later she was number 1 on the pro tour..

could have done so much more had it not been for Aus Open 2002
and then Neiland's incompetence

she got back last yr into top 25
this yr ruined again by illness/injury

Good luck to my favs

this quote is really bullshit

few players donīt spend long time on junior-circuit
and so they never reached a good ranking

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

It's kind of strange that Anna K was ranked No. 1. I think she didn't win any of the junior Slams (though she did win the Orange Bowl, I believe).

back then u'd get the same pts for winning any G-A tourn.
now the 4 slams are worth DOUBLE pts. (has been since start of 2002)

Anna also got plenty of pts for leading Russia to the 95 Connelly Continental Cup title the week before Orange Bowl among other things.

Good luck to my favs
