Surface leaders (2004)

from www.wtatour.com (don't blame me if these figures are wrong)

People with a 100% - 0% WIN-LOSS record in 2004:

Carpet:
Ana Ivanovic 16-0
Kim Clijsters 8-0
Chanda Rubin 2-0

Clay:
Kim Clijsters 3-0

Grass:
Maria Sharapova 12-0

Hard
Nobody - Justine H-H comes first with a .939 ratio (31-2)

Um, I am going to revise this list. Anna's dominance of the carpet challengers is not that impressive, really. In order for something to be impressive, the player must have played a number of tournaments concurrent to others.

Hard: Justine Henin-Hardenne, Lindsay Davenport, Amelie Mauresmo (Vaidisova is fourth)

Clay: Venus Williams ( ), Amelie Mauresmo, Anastasia Myskina

Grass: Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport and Mary Pierce

Carpet: Kim Clijsters, Lindsay Davenport, Anastasia Myskina

Indoor: Kim Clijsters, Amelie Mauresmo, Lindsay Davenport

Outdoor: Justine Henin-Hardenne, Kim Clijsters, Lindsay Davenport

Overall Record: Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Lindsay Davenport

Romney/Ryan 2012

Bram, do you have the leaders for players who played more than 10 matches on each surface?
Thanks
Andy

Mauresmo beat Henin-Hardenne in Amelia Island, which is clay. Petrova is her second loss on hard (at the U.S. Open).

Could you believe if anyone last year said that Justine Henin-Hardenne will be leading on hard courts, and Venus Williams - on clay courts?
