Matches where players lost against injured opponents

Doesn't matter whether the injury/illness was real or not.

I remember a match between young Anke Huber and Italian player Cecchini (French Open 1991?). Cecchini acted like she was badly injured (although she could still run to drop-shots, after that she hobbled back to the baseline), and of course good-natured Anke fell for it, played a terrible match and more or less let her opponent win.
Cecchini later admitted that she faked the injury, but argued that Jana Novotna had done the same to her a few weeks before.

Any other matches where players were affected by their opponent's obvious malaise?

Davenport def Henin in the fall of 2002. Davenport was injured, Henin later said she lied and pulled a trick to confuse her

Henin def Davenport Aus 2003. Henin had cramps but ran a lot of unreturnable shots down, so it raised a few question marks

Venus def Clijsters Wim 2003. Venus had an abd. injury which didn't allow her to serve properly, but Clijsters couldn't deal with that and played a bad match

Henin def Clijsters Stanford 2003. Clijsters accuses Henin of gamesmanship, faking an injury, and that 'Henin always does this against me'

Henin's *cramps* last about 2 minutes and then she runs like she's just started the match

So in Henin's case cramping isn't an injury it's a useful way to make her win

*why do i even bother talkin' with stupid....oh well, i must be maso*

Go read a medecine book, you'll learn that it's the way cramps work. iF it's being treated , its gets a lot less painfull, and allows ones to play.
beside, she hasn't taken a injury time out at the us open, so whta's the problem, really??? bitterness maybe

Whatever GM crap

yes i'll never forget that match. It was pure torture watching Venus, who was in such obvious pain, playing out there. But it was unbelievable how she managed to still win it.I was close to tears at the end of the match

I don't think this really qualifies since Venus got injured at the end of the match.
