Where was SECURITY last night at WTA match?

I was amazed at the mob-like atmosphere that existed in the Staples Center last night during the match.

We repeatedly saw people running down the aisles shouting crude obscenities toward the court.

Then at the completion of the match during the award ceremonies, there was another breach of security by some crazed person running out onto the court .

This person was dangerously close to Maria and I was truly fearful for her safety.

I had visions of Monica Seles being stabbed by in Germany all over again.

I would hope that if the WTA is to hold future an events in such a hostile environment like this that they would provide appropriate security for the players and the fans.

Sharapova and her family should seriously look into getting private security if the WTA is unwilling to provide it at future events.

When Serena started to come back in the 3rd set, looked like something from Rodney King days in South Central.

I am concerned because this is the second time this year that a person was allowed to run onto the court near Maria after a match. It's ridiculous that the WTA Tour has such poor security for their players fater Monica Seles was stabbed on court in 1993.

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett
