Thanks Fingon. That actually correct a mis-perception I had. I realized Monica had low quality points, but I forgot to allow for only 14 tournaments. The percentage measure works better. The top ten is surprisingly close in this regard.

my darling Bianka Lamade has only 25,9 %

Something was bound to go right sometime today, All these broken pieces fit together to make a perfect picture of us
It got cold and then dark so suddenly and rained, It rained so hard the two of us were the only thing
That we could see for miles and miles
And in the middle of the flood I felt my worth, When you held onto me like I was your little life raft
Please know that you were mine as well
Drops of water hit the ground like God's own tears
And spread out into shapes like Salad bowls and basins and buckets for bailing out the flood

Interesting. There's a correlation between the % and the capability of a player to beat a top player. I wonder how it would look if the "one big win factor" were accounted for? If you were to remove each player's single best QP result (along with the attendant round points gained for that match only), and then recalculated? Perhaps you should also throw out their worst QP result (from best 17) as a balance.

I was worried about the amount of quality points Jennifer Capriati won last year, to the number she will get this year. But it wasn't actually that much more than anyone else ... good

Just tells that these stats are pretty much meaningless. Like Seles played several weak tournaments at the end of the season, and that made her percentage lower. But it has nothing to do with her ability to play, rather with her inability to play in germany.
