Nice to see so many Aussies improve this year <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
I am personally most impressed with Alicia and Evie jumps.
Alicia has a good game, but still, she has a lot to work on. What really impressed me is how she really did progress as the season went on. Things were looking pretty rough when she got double bagelled by Talaj at Melbourne (someone with Alicia's serve should never get double bagelled!), but she kept working, and the results started to come through. Good for her.
Evie also impressed me. She had a really good 2000 Aussie challenger run, and then she performed great at Melbourne. For the past couple seasons, Evie has been in the top 200, and has had the potential to be well higher, but perhaps lacked the confidence necessary to be ranked top 100. This year she went for it, worked hard, and had many great tournament results. I hope that she keeps the belief in herself and keeps improbing.
"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But he loves you."
