Venus taking the Zurich Crown?

With the elimination of Mauresmo, and Davenport from the field could we see Venus taking the Zurich Crown. I sure can. Dementieva could be her toughest fight to come but if Venus makes the final this might be her third title of the year. What do you think?

Noooooooooot convinced, simply based on her previous/current record. Not sure at all. If she's feeling good and not spraying the balls all over the court then she should make it to the semis at least but who knows...

Because I'm still talking! That's right!

Wasteful, pointless randomness for your amusement.

God damn, every time the girl gets on a roll, somebody jinxes her immediately after takeoff. Save this talk for the SF, not now.

I'd certainly like to see that, but her draw is not an easy one, and the surface not her favorite. OTOH, she HAS won the tournament before.

I'll settle for her just winning her next match. That's all she needs to do for now.

It's a new surface. Last year and the years before it was a blue one. I think you can't say "This is not a good surface for her". Remember when she won 18 matches in row - on clay.

If she can keep her good form for more than 2 matches, then yes, if not: no.
