Sharapova No.1 on the Yahoo Buzz index...

Above Nascar, Eminem, George Bush and John Kerry.

Good for tennis?

It's a way to keep in tune with what's hot--what people are interested in with pop culture.

I see. Thanks for explaining.

Hmmmmm...I guess attention is always good for tennis, since it raises money.

Of course it's a good thing! Anything that makes people interested in learning more about, watching or playing tennis is great!

That's not a natural jump to me. Looks like someone was playing with bots. It's not like she won anything or did anything special since yesterday.

Maria's name is barely on the radar this week. It sounds like some kind of error.

Well, I clicked on her name and the information that came up was about her headling that tournament in Asia. Isn't that this week?

No, this week was Moscow. Maria doesn't play tennis in Russia. So she took the week off.

It's indicate that Maria is the most popular in the world , therefore it's good for tenis development.
And you can not compare with others tenis players right now. .................. go Maria

I think it might have something to do with the fact that Yahoo was running her picture on the front of their search page last week. Everytime I went to yahoo they had a thumbnail of her pic next to the sports link? Wonder if they counted that everytime someone clicked on her picture?

Yahoo posted thumbnail pictures of the most popular searches... Which in turn made them even more popular...
