Post Sarasota event draws a strong field

Meghann Shaugnessy, Barbara Schett,Lisa raymond,Conchita Martinez, Iva Majoli,Virginia Ruano Pascual,and Chanda Rubin ,and Ai Sugiyama have signed up So far all their 8 seed are in the top 35 that is great for a tier 4.

The Challenger the week before Amelia Is. always has had a pretty good field , this year the 8th seeded player was ranked around 55 in a 75K event.

so its looking good <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> i'm sure it will get stronger.

Yeah, I think Monica will play. I think it depends on whether or not she enters Memphis, as this would give her 3 lower-tiered tournaments in a 52 week period, and I don't know how the WTA will handle that request, because they refused Hingis last year, I believe, when she wanted to enter Rosmalen again.
