Petrova: Can she finally win that elusive first title?

This is the year of the Russian breakthrough, and it is about time for hers.
I hope she wins the title here. She was playing solidly at the USO and only lost to the eventual champion which says alot.

Rena- a tennis great! 22 at striking distance.

It's not like every single Russian can have a good year. It would be more than likely she won't win a title by the end of the season. She has the game to easily win a small title but she's just way too inconsistent to maintain the level of the tennis she showed in beating Justin.
I think all in all the Russians have had enough of what they are capable of this year.

She's to overcome the in form Sveta. No signs of burning-out by Sveta, will be difficult. Hope she overcomes Sveta, she needs the points more. Losing to Sveta is no shame at all Nadya can't be blamed for having a bad tourney.

I think she has the best chance of winning, as Sveta has to be tired after so much tennis lately. Only thing is whether Nadia can keep her head together in the final, but even then it would be hard to lose a final to Weingartner or Camerin

Roland Garros 3rd round this year

Nadia is capable of losing to anyone at any time.

I think Svetlana will win over Nadia........but Nadia's time will come.
Maybe she will get 2005 to a blinging start by winning something like Canberra or Gold Coast

I hope she beats Sveta in the semis.

...but I'm not a fan of either girl.
