When will the top-10 Russians start be called by their names?
Look at this! How can you mix individual achievements of 5-6 different people into one bundle and call it the "achievements of the Russians"? Whenever one of the russian players wins something it's "Russia strikes again" instead of "Myskina", for example. people compare other top players with the whole group of Russian top players. It's like Russian Fed Cup Squad vs JHH, versus Williams, versus Mauresmo. How can you do that?
People are hating all-Russian finals... Say Dementieva vs. Myskina. What if one of them changes her nationality (I'm talking hypothetically here)? Would that mean that that final would all of the sudden would be welcomed again because it's not all-Russian anymore? This is either some descrimination or writing without thinking. By the way I didn't see many protests when Capriati was playing against Davenport, Serena, Venus in some final, despite the fact that it was all American
My point is: The group that's now constantly called "THE RUSSIANS" should be split. It should be "Myskina, Dementieva, Kuznetsova, Sharapova, Zvonareva...." instead. Their performances should be analysed separetly and they should be compared to other players separetly. That way their individual work wouldn't be diminished. All Russians have names, how about calling them that. I'm sure they are all sick of that RUSSIAN! stuff too.
Does anyone else agree?
