Best/Worst Slam Finals in 2004

Not in terms of results...in terms of quality.

Which was the highest quality? Which was the poorest? Which was the most dramatic? Which was the most boring?

Australian
Justine Henin-Hardenne def. Kim Clijsters 63 46 63

Roland Garros
Anastasia Myskina def. Elena Dementieva 61 62

Wimbledon
Maria Sharapova def. Serena Williams 61 64

US Open
Svetlana Kuznetsova def. Elena Dementieva 63 75

Mine:
Highest quality: Australian
Poorest: Roland Garros
Dramatic: Australian
Boring: Roland Garros/US Open

The Australian final was the best. The French the most boring one since Steffi's against Zvereva and the best performance in a final was Sharapova's against Serena. The US Open final was ok-ish I think, with two great players and a great winner, but the semis and quarters were more exciting.

I think that you have explained why I thought that the Open final was boring. I really like Svetlana and did root for her, but I think that I was so enthralled by the previous matches and the drama and emotions that ensued - I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

I have CDO. It's like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, except in alphabetical order like it should be.

just because the Aussie Open went to 3 sets doesn't mean it was that great.

Wimbledon was awesome(I am not a sharapova fan). There were many GREAT plays even though the match was short. There were many hard hits and it was very loud
