It was almost a toss-up in deciding whether Lindsay or Justine is more accomplished, but I gave the edge to Lindsay for now.

Nadia would almost make this list if she just won 1 or 2 singles.

Based on doubles and number of regular titles, right? There's a strong argument that Justine should be ahead of not only Davenport, but also Venus. I'm heavily biased towards the number of Slams won as a measurement, so I don't think the areas in which Davenport beats Justine are enough to counter Justine's extra Slam title.

Funny how #3 to #6 have won the Olympic gold medals from 1992 to 2004! Incredible that the 1992 winner is still active (although injured...)

Ai has had 2 GS QF showings: 2000 AO and 2004 Wimbledon.

And Elena D has 4 singles titles.

I'll have JHH at no. 3 really. 4 slams, the third most on the list together with Venus, but with a greater variety - Justine just needs that one Slam to complete a career grand slam. On top of that, she has more weeks at no. 1.

The "greater variety of slams" reason could arguably be used for bumping Lindsay over Venus, even though Venus has one more Slam.. Lindsay also has 6+ times as many weeks at no. 1, and has ended the year at no. 1 3 times, which Venus never did even once.

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.

Maybe we should have a list with only singles results, cause that's really what most people only care about I think (well I atleast).
