It's great, hopefully it will be a player who hasn't won a grandslam before, but I still hope Lindsay will win

And not only that, there is a possibility (actually, if Serena and Elena D both lose before the final) that we would have eight different grandslam finalists this year. I can't remember the last time that happened. It almost happened in 1998 except (Martina Hingis repeated as a finalist in the US Open after AO).

It's not shyness I have. It's just that I'm not one of those people who loves to open a newspaper of magazine and see myself all the time. I don't like that at all. I prefer to play my tennis which I love, and with which I've been blessed.

So if neither Dementieva or S. Williams will make the final.

We'll either have Asagoe / Petrova / Kuznetsova / Davenport vs Capriati / Mauresmo

So at this moment you have 3 previous GS title winners left in the draw (Davenport / S. Williams / Capriati) and 1 that's made a final (Dementieva) and 3 that haven't Asagoe / Petrova / Kuznetsova.

Nice combo of a little bit of the old with the new

I for one would love to see Lindsay and Capriati fight it out for the US open crown

What´s even more interesting...third slam in a row which has at least one russian in the semis. We should just make an russian only tourney, should be fun

One thing's for sure if Davenport beats Asagoe a country with red, white and bllue will win the Open Since the remaining options are USA, Russia and France <g>

That being said I think it would be quite eery if two Americans made the final which is to be played on September 11.
