I'm not even a fan, but she was obviously fatigued from her cold or whatever, its not an excuse it's a fact, she is sick and has been so she hasn't trained properly

I don't believe that us philistines make excuses for the BOSS's losses.
Nadia played well and deserved to win.
The BOSS played below par and deserved to lose.

if any of you saw the match, you would have seen that she didn't look good at all.
But Petrova was on fire today. So congrats to her.

MARIA SHARAPOVA: "Amélie, you know it doesn't really matter at this point. I mean, I'd love to, I mean, Amélie is No. 1 in the world. She's playing great tennis. You know, I love that challenge of going out there and competing against the best in the world."
You'd love to what, Maria?

Jet lag.

She was tired from the olympics.

Her gold medal she wore weighed her down.

Someone put lead in the soles of her shoes to slow her.

She had the sniffles.

Pierre didnt give her enough lovin' the night before.

She practiced too much on xbox.

Venus and her made a pact to go out fourth round and go to aruba.

I'm waiting, too, for Carlos' excuse. She trained real hard for the Olympics, so I'm guessing she is over her illness. Petrova just outplayed her today. She fired the BOSS.

It is true that the BOSS recently had a cold, and consequently her training schedule and fitness have been adversely affected. However, she stepped onto the court ready to compete and unfortunately (or fortunately for some) ran into a red-hot opponent who was more than capable of taking advantage of her physical inadequecies. I think we should just leave it as that instead of partaking in meaningless speculations.

I have never made excuses for her losses. You must be mistaken
with someone else. She wasn't match sharp and had so many things
off tonight the serve, foot faults, miss hits, frame hits, no second serve..
you can't win like this when your opponent is playing flawless.

I'm not woried about juju, but don't you think that losing that No1 ranking
will be a serious blow to her confindence ?
