It was ok but I didn't like the goal oriented matches. I know you can turn it off but then it becomes too long to play a tournament. It was also ridiculous that I could win the Grand Slam and a couple of tier ones and not be ranked #1.
This is the 2nd best tennis game on PS2 as far as the World Tour goes. The best is an oldie called WTA Tennis which was only ever available in PAL format in Europe and Australia. You might still be able to get versions of this game from some places but most wouldn't stock it now. It has a green cover with 8 little cartoon pictures of the top women players in the world.
And it is not to be confused with the US version of the game which was also called WTA Tennis but was known in Europe as WTA Tennis Pro Tournament. The USA version was a dud and it has a blue cover with Jelena Dokic on the cover.
it was fun for when i first got it but you pretty soon get to a level where you have to try and lose points because the standard of the toughest player just isn't high enough. i only play it for fun when mates come over now as the 4 players i created are all no.1 and i had already skipped a year with most of them so i would fall down the rankings and need to fight my way back up by giving tough opposition big starts.
