Lindsay def. Bovina 7-6(7) 6-2

It was only until 3-2 that the first break from Lindsay came into the match! Since the beginning they were each holding their serves and Lindsay was serving really well Bovina gave a good fight and it was really close, she tried very hard to keep up with Lindsay every point. Good Match Lindsay, Let's win this tourney!

Yeah, Bovina miss one set point in the tie-break and 2 break spoints at 2-2 in the second set...

The only worry I have about Lindsay is that so far she hasn't been pushed. She's pretty much walked into the 4th round - where she'll (probably) face Venus. That match will be a lot tougher for her than any previous matches. But I'm confident she'll up the ante (she'll have to... my three other girls are all out before R4!)...

Lindsay was pushed tonight. This match could have been a different story if one point goes the other way in the tiebreak.

Good win Lindsay!! I was a little concerned for her in the 1st set, but she got stronger and Elena faded as the match went on.

I am just watching the match and both players are playing really well and hitting the ball very very hard!!

Bovina was soo confident which is realy good to see, since she hasn`t had much confidence in around 12-18months.

Im soo HAPPY to see Bovina playing soo well and hitting the ball soo hard again .. it was amazing .. she held Lindsay really well in the first set, and perhaps should have won it.

Lindsay wasn´t tested?! A first set tie-breaker, facing sp along the way..and hasn´t been tested?!

Always bet on black!

I wish Lindsay was facing Chanda, not because it would be easier, but just because Chanda rocks. Whoever advances out of Lindsay and Venus will have a pretty easy round afterwards.

Lindsay Davenport

Elena Bovina | Anastasia Myskina | Flavia Pennetta
Fernando Verdasco | Tommy Haas

Q. Give us an update on the kid.
A. Are you serious?
