I didn't know Mary Pierce was religious

After her victory, she got on the floor and said a silent prayer, then thanked God and Jesus for her victory.

Was she just stunned and happy or was she truly expressing her faith?

I don't know or care.

It was just a touching moment.

She's religious. I remember in one of her matches (was it at Wimbledon?), she was wearing a cross and holding on to it quite often.

Yes she's religious. The year she won Roland Garros, she wore a "chain' (is it correct ?). She talked about her faith etc...

I think she became more religious when dating Roberto Alomar. I read that in an interview somewhere years back. She also used to wear a rosary around her neck when she played.

....This is fucked up, fucked up....

This is your blind spot, blind spot.
It should be obvious, but it's not.

You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don't care what the future holds
Cause I'm right here in your arms today
With your fingers you can touch me

I'll be your black swan, black swan
I'm for spare parts, broken up.

I believe Mary and her brother are Christians. David had a Christian t-shirt on at one of Mary's matches at the Acura.

If you remember mary used to have incredibly long pre-service tituals which looked as if she blessed every ball before she served it.

The now retired Melissa Middleton was the WTA's religious equivilant of Michael Chang. And Ashley wears a WWJD bracelet.
