Is Golovin a threat to Serena?

Golovin is by far the most potentially dangerous 3rd round opponent Serena could have drawn. Will it be a rerun of the Wimbie schooling, or did Tati learn her lesson well and is coming back ready this time? Tune in tonight for the answer...

If the Serena that showed up against Lee Waters then by all means yes it could be an interesting match. I still think that Serena's knee is not hundred percent and if she allows Golovin to run her around or once she gets to a big babe where she'll need her defense then things will get very interesting. But I think Serena moves on in straight sets, but at this US Open where the top players have been challeneged you never know.

No, she is not. She is just no match. But that's the interesting part, because there are so many players who are no match and still make it close. It's all about the attitudes. Tatiana I believe wants to be a star, and this may well be the match that can make her one.

No. Bovina and Pierce are much more dangerous matchups for Serena.

Serena will crush Tati again.

No and Yes.

No because if Serena is playing her A game she should beat Tati easily.

Yes, because Serena is not playing her A game. I say she's at about a C+ now. She has movement problems because of her knee injury, and lack of match play. So if this is the round that she may be upset early, this will be it.

Hopefully she comes out and demolishes Golovin and make a statement to the other girls that she is ready to take the title.

It depends. I heard Golovins outfit at the US OPEN has been making

You mean like the one at Wimblendom. Golovin has a good varity game but I'm still don't think she is mentally ready for that. Even if Serena is not playing her A game you still need to be mentally tough to beat her. So not yet.

What? We're talking about tennis? Oh. I thought it was the "threat"
to who can pass off the most un-tennis outfit in a grand slam game.

Tati will soon be teaching Serena a thing or two about tennis.

6-2 7-5 Golovin.

Depends....if Tatiana has found a serve, then yeah...she might make things interesting. I recall at Wimbledon she only held serve once or twice...that won´t cut it.

Always bet on black!
