Is Myskina's loss an embarassment?

Like the one Justine, RG defending champion's opening loss reminiscent of Hewitt's Wimbledon upset.
Or the one Maria suffered at the hands of Mashona, which cause the endless criticisms.
IMO, this is even more embarassing, since there is really no excuse for her to play bad.

Justine was sick, I do not consider it as embarassing.

No, because I think that girl is good. She may plow over a few top seeds. I'm sad Myskina is out so early.

Justine was sick and she didn't lose in the opening round., unless second round is opening for you.

Oh...I think you got it mixed up....I was talking about Justine's loss in RG, not Myskina.
But you guys are right, Justine's loss is never an embarassment to start with.
Myskina's loss is the one that's embarassing.

i would say no.

her opponent was far more superior, though, it's true that myskina made tons of errors, but no, it was not an embaressment, she'll pull it through during indoor season.

One you've one a grand slam I don't think anything should be embarrasing. So what this girl beat Myskina. At the end of the day this girl can say she beat Myskina ONCE. The fact that that alone is a big deal shows you why Myskina should not even be slightly embarrassed.

lol....people who have been following challengers already heard of her before.
But there is a reason why she is less hyped than the K-Lina last year.
She is 17, and still outside top 100, not saying it's bad or anything, but Myskina losing to her is pretty embarassing after all, it's not like Anna is the next biggest thing from Russia, unlike Dokic's upset over Hingis.

Said before the US-Open Anna's among the 70 best on the faster courts. Before the US-Open Anna played a 3 setter vs. Farina. Last year went to 3 sets vs. T. Pisnik at the Kremlin Cup. Played twice on grass and reached as many times the final. Anna's no fluke.
No, wouldn't call it an embarresment.

Watching her you might think she is the next biggest thing from Russia. She could rally with Myskina and hold her own quite often even before Myskina hit a UE, she plays smart tennis and has a good serve and is more consistent than a lot of the next biggest young things (Karolina and Sesil spring to mind)

Is she from Russia? The name doesn't sound russian.
