If Momo wins the gold....

....do you think she'll gain the confidence she needs to win a slam???

The Olympics would be her biggest ever tournament win and if she beats Justine/Myskina in the final I think it would do alot for her confidence, plus her her win in Toronto and her good performance at Wimby should help.

I just think it's been far too long since she's made it to a slam final. She definitely has the game to win a GS and maybe she'll have the belief after the Olympics.

I agree it would give her alot of confidence and it would not just be Mauresmo talented player who is yet to win a slam but Mauresmo Olympic Champion.

aaaaahhh Justine is down 1-2 in the third set!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..oops wrong thread.

Damn I want my Momo-Justine final with Momo winning over the number 1 in the world. It would be much more sweeter.

MARIA SHARAPOVA: "Amélie, you know it doesn't really matter at this point. I mean, I'd love to, I mean, Amélie is No. 1 in the world. She's playing great tennis. You know, I love that challenge of going out there and competing against the best in the world."
You'd love to what, Maria?

And you forgot to add, Mauresmo Next GS Champion.
well, seriously...The way she's playing these days has gotta be a wake up call to her opponents. She's vastly improved in most departments except her serves. whatever it is, she's shown that she's mentally stronger now with each strides that she takes. And she's proven it recently at Wimby *which some beg to differ that she'd choked*, her win in the RC and now an astounding performance by her at the Oly...Momo would go very far from here. She'll be one of the players to watch out for at the USO. At least, she's slowly shaking off her choker tag!

the funnie thing is she is "playing" for her country. somthing she does throughout the whole year anywayz. but with the olympics its even more special b/c its once every 4 years, and your country picks who they want to represent them.

you'd think she would have as much problem with the olympics as she does with the French Open. But then again, she isn't at home.

If she does when, I think it will give her all types of Confidence. I know it won't take away anything from her for winning.
