You can't help but love them...they're so incredibly energetic and spunky, and it's so rare to see that in tennis. You can tell they're having a blast out there and that they get along well...and the reaction after their quarterfinal win was priceless. It sucks they knocked off Martina/Lisa but hopefully they can go all the way now.

They were soo much fun to watch!! Did you see that little joke hug they did at the end? That was funny. I'm used to Shinobu showing emotions (Not as much as I saw yesterday) but it's great to see Ai be so fun and energetic and laughing and joking because in singles she's always so serious and focused!! I can't imagine their reaction to the possible gold!

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

Ai is just SO lovely. She's got that smile that makes her eyes almost disappear. It was always great to see her and Kim, they had so much fun together.

I think Ai should partner her. BTW, Shinobu/Miyagi was an even cooler team IMO.

Huber/Sugiyama will break next year IMO.

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!

Who is Ai playing with next year? Any word?? Will it be Shinobu? Why the split with Huber? (Besides that Ai should have been playing with someone else from the beginning of this year.)

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

I agree. But what good is "cute" when they're inconsistent and can't even beat top doubles teams?

They are an excellent team. Cute and talented. I saw most of their match vs. Navratilova and Shinobu is actually a really good doubles player too, who knew?

Ai has always done a good job picking the right doubles partner.
But any Japanese player partnering with Ai is not able to catch up.
I wonder who Ai will pick now that Martina Narvatilova is retiring.
If Lisa and Ranee are not coming back, maybe Ai/Lisa will be a great team, 2 former #1's who experienced partnering with former singles #1 as partners. Perfect team to challenge Paola/Vivi.
