I'm kind of hoping Momo. I'm not exactly a fan but it's such a shame that she's such a good player and doesn't have a slam.

Looking at the way Momo's playing lately, I won't be surprised if she wins her first GS title soon.

I´ll kick my ass if Amelie won´t win a GS in the next year! It´s a mystery to me how such a talented and brillant player can still be without a big title...

I think someone voodoo-ed her.

Exclamation

Depending on how Kim is next year, it may be her. She is too good not to have won one yet.

I would really say Momo. With the way she is playing, and how talented she really is, the first GS title will come under her belt pretty soon.
I would like to say Kim also, but she is no Justine, and coming back froma long layoff might affect her. But who knows.
Go Momo and Kimmie!!

MARIA SHARAPOVA: "Amélie, you know it doesn't really matter at this point. I mean, I'd love to, I mean, Amélie is No. 1 in the world. She's playing great tennis. You know, I love that challenge of going out there and competing against the best in the world."
You'd love to what, Maria?

Where can I sign up to have a voodoo curse put on Kim Clijsters so that she never wins a Slam singles title?

Best left-right combination by a German (and that includes Max Schmeling): Steffi Graf. All she did in 1987 was knock Navratilova out of #1 and try to knock Evert out of the sport. (Mike Lupica in "The Best and Worst of Tennis in 1987", World Tennis)

"A couple of years ago, we nicknamed Steffi Graf's forehand 'Jaws'. And that music would go perfectly when she starts running in to the net, swarming on that little ball." (JoAnne Russell, during the 1988 Wimbledon final between Graf and Navratilova)

I don't think any of the players listed will win a grand slam. I guess I'll say the next new slam winner will be Nicole Vaidisova.

because of her brain. Unfortunately, that is why she never will win one: one's mental acumen never really improves in tennis. If you don't believe that you will be a GS champion from the time you are like 5, you won't win one unless you play injured/choking people in the last few rounds. That phenomenon already happened once within the past ten years, so it really isn't likely to repeat itself.

I think this is not necessarily so. Look at Justine, birds of ill omen predicted she'd never have the guts to become a slam winner, let alone win vs prestigious opponents like Davenport, Kim or the Sisters at important events. And look what has happened. If Justine was a bit of a choker herself, back in 2002, now she's shaken it off for good. Why shouldn't Momo do the same?

He definitely talks like a major idiot. What the hell is wrong with her brain? Are you implying that she's a retard? Coz if she's a retard, I doubt the world would be seeing her play today.
