How long will Navratilova be playing?

Yah so I was wondering how long you guys think that Navratilova will be playing tennis. So far, she's been playing for 31 years, and is almost 48 years old. She still plays extremely well, as she is still very good in doubles. She has probably the biggest passion for the game of tennis, and I don't think she will be retiring anytime soon. For the past 10 years, people have thought that she would have retired, but she kept on playing. How long do you think she will be playing on the tour? My guess is 3 more years.

I hope she and Venus partner to win the doubles grand slam next year ! That would be the little spark to get Venus' tennis career back on track  !

I hope she retires at the end of the year. She's a legend. I don't really understand why the comeback.

She is retiring at the end of the year. She should've stayed retired in 1994. She's a legend and all she's doing right now, is ruining her record. She is so amazing and doesn't need to prove anything!

Let them eat cake.

she isn't ruing her record since she has come back she has won the only title that eluded her besides the olympics which i don't count. She won her 20th wimbledon and has racked up more money. Plus she has inspired women that they can be like that when they are old. I think she just added to her great career

She retired the first time in 1994, came back to play doubles in 2000, and has said 2004 will be her final season. She left some wiggle room Thursday, though, saying: ``Next year, I have no plan. I just want to finish out the year and see what happens.''

Maybe she will play next year?!

Her abilities still continue to amaze me! She should make more money, and rise to the Very top! Unfortunately, she is out of the Olympics 2004! She probably won't come back! Sharapova seems like the next Maria to me, even though she will never reach Martina's claim to fame.

ruining her record?

She has become the oldest woman to win a wta doubles title, the oldest woman to win a singles match at wimbledon, she tied BJK for 20 wimbledon titles with her mixed doubles victory last year, she won the aus open mixed doubles and added the only grad slam title to her record she had never won, plus played in the olympics for the first time ever.

She has added to her greatness, not taken away from it.

Don't forget the TWO grand slams in mixed and about 10 other doubles titles....most players would be lucky to win all of those titles there first time around on the wta tour
Martina is the greatest that has ever lived... byfar ..i am so proud to call her "FAMILY" as well..all hail the real queen >>
