BIG IF: IF Justine wins Athens, what does that really say about tennis right now?

This is a BIG IF because Myskina and Mauresmo are going to be TOUGH competitors and will surely give Justine a hard time if she has to face both of them.

BUT IF SHE DOES WIN, what does that really say about tennis?

She has not played in 4 months and goes on to defeat two Top 5 players and the current RG champs in the Olympic Games???

That Justine is STILL the best player in the world despite her lay-off.

I want to see a match against her and Lindsay

But she's still got a couple tough matches with Mysky and Momo before this "if" becomes true.

So Myskina's and Sharapova's wins? Lucky to not have Justine in the draw? Lindsay's wins? Lucky to have had Justine ill?

I'm not picking a fight with anyone, but IF Justine wins, I'm going to start looking at those wins not meaning ANYTHING going into the USO.

I'm impressed with her so far. I would say that she took the time off that she needed and did not come back to early.

Don't jinx her, Myskina and Mauresmo aren't pushovers.

Everything you do continues long after you've gone

Ugh, stop doing what Serena and Venus fans have done to Justine fans in the past. Don't sink to that level. All wins are valid and the US Open should be interesting.

but the difference is, the sisters HAVE. The Russians have not...as of yet. Probably change at the Open, the way the Russian girls have been playing at the majors though.
