Switz/ MKC- I'm so proud of her; but you know how it is? I'm worried
that If I expect too much or want to see her do the business, I'll simply jinx her.

I'm staying kind of low on this- but am hoping for great things, as we
always do. Geez, if Eleni can come up with the goods this week- why
not our Patty?

as a patty fan i'm never really shocked when she wins or loses. i basically take the attitude that if she plays well she will beat kuznetsova and if she doesn't then she probably won't.

the funniest thing is that she has actually become a pretty great player on fast courts. i mean she beat amelie 6-2, 6-2 and myskina 6-1, 6-1 on a fast indoor court so i see no reason why she can't be svetlana. of course that is far from a guarantee she will.

i'm just glad to see her playing well on the big stage again.

your right switzy, Patty has become quite dangerous on fast courts, i thought that would really help her today bcuz everybody said the Olympic courts are much faster than normal hardcourts. But maybe she didn't serve well, and that affected the rest of her game. A player like Kuznetsova isn't going to give you that many chances.

Greeny every time i read one of your posts about Patty i feel like i am listening to a parent who is afraid to spank their kid. ;-)
