Had Nastya been playing with Bepa, this wouldn't have happened.

They've been partners all year, and then some genius decides to put Lena D and Nastya together in the Olympics. They only played San Diego together, then off to the Olympics. Lena hasn't been playing much doubles this year to begin with, so I think it was an unwise pairing.

Звонарёва ~ Павлюченкова
Петрова ~ Клейбанова
Сафина ~ Кириленко

Well im gutted for Alyona, she really likes the Olympics, and its a shame to have such a shitty one.

As for the Japanese paring I hope they continue this run of form on, I hope Shino can get a medal, it might give her the confidense to earn her first ever title

GO AI AND SHINO!!!!!!!! I really think they have an excellent shot at the Gold. Look at their results in Montreal and they easily defeated Likhovtseva/Zvonareva and Pierce/Mauresmo!

GO AI AND SHINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

A very disappointing campaign for Lena D in Athens.
Hopefully she can regroup a little before the US Open.
