That 2nd set was a disaster, but the last set was very very good except the game when she was serving for the match, 1st also solid from her. Now try your best in the final, I don't expect anything, because of that 3 finals before.
Nice try from Natasha, she was struggling with pain in right forearm from the end of the 1st set. But later it didn't look that this injury affected her. She's definitely a player to watch in the future. :yeah:
IDK how Vikhlyantseva had the stamina to do that after her long grinding match with Conet, but she wore out serving 5-5 and gave that game away, after serving very well most of set 3
Should be a good final, both players havent won many, so desire will be very high
Natasha was struggling during that first set. Jule was playing at a great level, too. Only 5 UE.
Vikhlyantseva really upped her level during the second set and Görges was awful, she just couldn't find the court anymore and didn't even know when to approach the net. Some bad calls, too.
At one point I thought that Jule wouldn't make it past Natasha despite Vik's wrist issues because she was an UE mess (and Vikhlyantseva was returning serves much better) but eventually she made it.
Wonderful result for Julia! I think if she can somehow manage to win the final, she will qualify for Zhuhai, which probably was not even on her radar at all coming into this event.
I didn't get to see much of the match, but I was intrigued with Natalia's game as well - I hadn't seen her play much before and certainly think she can achieve a lot in the near future.
