Back to back QF's in WTA events for Jo-La (at the worst scenario). Not bad at all. Surprisingly watchable tennis here as well. Really good, esp. close to the end of it.
She usually does well (by her standards) on the indoor swing.
I think the courts may be a little slower, and there's no wind so she has time to set up that loopy forehand and can be more consistent with her serve which, believe or not, can be pretty effective if she's hitting it well.
Jo does have some tools in her kit, but like most lower-ranked players she lacks the ability to deploy them consistently and can be taken out of her game more easily than the players at the top. But her forehand, kick serve and net game are good enough to work against other players outside the top 30 and to pull of the occasional upset.
Despite what you hear from the haters.
And her fans. When we're upset.
The horrible stuff about her backhand is all true, though.
And why are you playing three-setters in singles when you have chance to go to Singapore in doubles? ?
