Moscow Maria is nowhere near to Tianjin Maria. Pathetic UE's on BH side and those drive volleys were so sad to watch. Congrats to Magda. Great slices and clever game!
Moscow is still Masters, Tianjin is International (lowest tier of WTA). She barely beat Sabalenka in Tianjin, and the others were poor or out of form and injured like Begu and Peng.

She's baaaaaaackk!!!111!! She won Tianjin!!!11!

Moscow TD :spit: Got his "star" straight-setted by a semi-injured player. The gift that keeps on giving.

Magda was clearly hampered in the middle of the second set. Had Maria not wasted 1,000 chances at 4-4 it would have turned out differently. Still, credit to Ryabarikova for hanging in there. Nice variety throughout.

A couple of things. First, tired and exhaustion are not a conversation. This like I said in previous post is Maria. If fans and media are lowering her standards as a tennis player than so be it and make that the reason those two excuses become applicable just because she played back to back tournaments.

Mags - played well and is the highest ranked opponent that Maria has played since losing to Simona. So I mean the result is expected.

I believe Simona has been here only top 10 opponent and win this year. She is pretty much 50/50 when it comes to top 20 (which she has played few) and 50/50 outside the top 20.

She needs to evaluate her game and not expect 2015 Maria to progress.
