Wuhan R1: Kasatkina def. Riske 6:1 2:6 6:3

Far more talented player won.

Clutch play in 3rd set after being break down. She was bossing Riske from the baseline all the time!

Now bring da Simona!!!

Dasha sublime.
Recently, instead of just pushing every ball in the middle of the court she started to play with variety - she throws every kind of ball to her opponent, not two shots alike - slices DL and CC, loopy deep balls, drop shots, flatter BHCC, topspin FH DL, etc.
Of course her aggressive play is still lacking.

She played her best 1st set on the tour, she was so agressive.

She struggled physically with the heat, she called the doctor in the beggining of the 2nd set who took her blood pressure but fought back from 1-3 and won the last 5 games.

I have to give Dasha credit, I thought she was going to retire from the heat in the second set but she managed to hang in there and win the match. When she wasn't looking like she was going to die from heat exhaustion, her forehand was bossing Riske around the court. Her forehand seems to really like these courts.

Beating on Riske like a boss and exposing her as an ultimate pusher! Dasha!

Girl has all the shots and TFs crappy talent estimators dare call her a pusher or Pushkina.

Well you can see and feel she is thinking about it and implementing it bit by bit. She is on right path but needs to keep good work and needs to listen to her coach and not act like a diva. Good that she is humble, bad thing is her nerves sometimes, she must remain calmer when match gets tougher vs. top opposition. Against all the Riskes and Brengles of this World however even her semi-aggresive nervy game is enough for wins.

Nice. Now let's hope she improves for real and defeats Simona now.

Defeat doesn't finish a man, quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits.

All this excitement after struggling to beat a renowned mug like Riske?

He probably read on google search or trip advisor that Istanbul is less expensive than Singapore.
Cool story bro.

Riske being called a pusher

She's playing some awful tennis during this Asian swing. Tianjin Slam is coming, sis.
