Is it gamesmanship for Muguruza to make noise with her feet during return?

Watching this Mug-Garcia match, I cannot help but notice.

Garbine is moving left and right and (imo) intentionally scraping her shoes on the surface to create something of a distraction/hinderance/gamesmanship vs. Garcia. If I was Garcia, I'd for sure have said something to the umpire already about it. It is very loud and disturbing during Garcia's serve action.

It's louder on tv than in person because of the on-court mics. She does it on every surface to get her feet moving for every point, just more noticeable on hardcourts because of the surface material

Maybe she should switch shoes manufacturer? Or play barefoot? Even so would be best player anyway so...

We don?t really hear it on court, and I?m sure someone would?ve said something to the umpire if it was as loud as on TV.

Lol gurl you know I love both her and you but this girl's grunt and shoe scraping are both bordering the line of gamesmanship

Mug is the rightful heir to Serena, yes. She does not need to do these things.

Hopefully it is as @Jenn8 said. It is not normally a problem but only because the mics pick it up and amplify it so much

There's an element of gamesmanship in it, but.... if that's enough to make you lose focus, then...

Well that is her return motion. What can she do now to please the TF ffs???

I really dont get it? Is it allowed or not?

I am watching a lot of ATP and WTA matches these days incourts and i hear shoes squichieng everywhere, so why is it only problem with Garbine? She certainly doesnt do it for any unsportmanslike purposes that is for sure!

Maybe these could do the right job!
