Seoul QF: Kumkhum (Q) def. Cirstea, 6-3, 3-1.

Luksika Kumkhum.

Only watched the second set. Kumkhum was solid and played really well. She made some very nice shots. As for Cirstea, she was just useless. She thrashed her racket after the match.

Well she did lose to the eventual winner, Diyas last week in three sets, so I guess her form is not bad.

Besides she could be motivated by Diyas... if I can play a three setter against a tournament winner, I have a good chance!

Don't be deceived by the rankings!! Coria, Mirnyi, Schuettler, Fish, Safin, Henman, Tursunov, Wawrinka, Federer, Serena, Bovina, Li Na, Dementieva, Zvonareva, Sugiyama, Coetzer, Tanasugarn, Kumkhum, Zheng, Dokic and Kournikova are the world's best tennis players!!!

Luksika!

Such a talented player who should NOT have been languishing outside the top 100 for the past few years.

It seemed that she did close to nothing since beating Petra in AO few years ago on WTA level. But now she does

Yes. Her match against Kvitova years ago at AO She can play amazing attacking tennis, I don't understand why she can't breakthrough and her CHR is only something around 80. Big underachiever.

Kumkhum played well. Sori was awful. Kumkhum won 11 games in a row after falling behind 3-0 in the 1st set. I think Sori was confused by the two-handed FH. She basically quit after her DF on BP to fall behind 2-0 in the 2nd. She smashed her racket at this point and then proceeded to make about 20 errors the rest of the way. She at least saved some pride by holding serve at 0-5.
