Great performance by the BEST player in the World!
This one was anyway gonna be NID but how Garbi handled her and denied her during almost whole match is real #1-like. Coming back on Olympuig serve from 40:0 to break her etc... Just
You go girl!
Monica you tried, but there is no fckn around with Muga! And an ace to your face to seal a GSM!
nice start, maybe she will finally be able to reach a paramier event after so many tries?
i have a feeling that no 1 will do good for her, if she will be able to win this event it will be a nice start.
Yes, I have thought about how she will react to being No. 1 too and how it will impact on her tennis. She seems very confident about it in interviews and I was shocked to hear her say that she had dreamed of being No 1 as a girl and seh seems pleased that it has now come true, so hopefully she will not be overcome with fear like some recent No 1s. I hope she can walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
Go Go Garbine! MUGURUTHLESS AMAZON!!!
expected
good for both I guess despite the bagel
Monica still has work to do but at least she won a match and might win more in the remaining of the Asian swing . Good luck
Hell yeah. Mugu bakery is very generous and giving, making sure everyone gets free bagels all around!
Many girls like bagels, just make sure they dont get diabetes for eating too much carbs! Make sure there is enough insuline to go along with it!
Really wish someone would stop staring at her mesmerizing ass and teach her a slice and a net game.
Monica is way too damn one dimensional. Does not slice on return, on defense, nothing. Never comes in, and when she does, cannot close the angles correctly.
Mug does everything better than Monica so Puigy needs some variety. These girls have figured her out, now she needs to adjust
Don't coast on that gold medal forever, girl. Especially in this era where anyone can win
All that being said Muguruza will be an excellent #1, always felt she was Serena's true successor, not Kerber
Puig winning two matches in a row is such a rare occurence since Rio Not a fan of Monica (albeit I don't dislike her either, just neutral) but I wish she would have better results since that time as an Olympic Champion.
And an ace to finish.....Garbine since Wimbledon has played extremely consistently, and it doesn't look like there's any extra pressure with the Slam or No.1
Nervy start in the first 4 or 5 games from Garbine, seemed a bit stiff. Puig also was quite off too, or it could have been 0-4 easily in the first set.
Then both improved... a win is a win, good stuff in the end
