WTA talks about Dokic to F.Riley

That's from inside-tennis.net :
Frank Riley

"Why is Jelena Dokic missing from tennis ? I went to the WTA office at the Acura Classic to ask about Jelena Dokic and what is up with her being away from tennis. This is what was told. Jelena Dokic is taking a break from tennis to rest & mentally get herself better. There is nothing physically wrong, she just needs some time to rest. I did not bother to push it further, so there is the truth. Dokic is taking some time to help herself get better, she does not have an injury at all"

Well, just a confirmation of what we were all guessing. Just hope she 'll come back soon & get better on her private life.

I think a lot of us have given her a hard time recently, but the interviews with her over the last few months where she has talked about how depressed she is show us all she needs some moral support. I hope she takes the time off until the indoor season and comes back with a bang. I for one will be cheering her on. Good luck, Jelena!

Mirjana Lucic : Australian Open doubles champ and back in Top 100

Jelena Jankovic : US Open finalist 2008 and World No. 1

Jennifer Capriati : 3 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

Rafael Nadal : 10 Grand Slams, Olympic Gold and World No.1

Seriously, isn't there anything the WTA can do about the Damir situation? This is ridiculous to think that a still young player could be badger so brutually by their own parent, especially when the world knows it is over him not having her lifestyle and income to rely upon anymore. If a coach had done those things to a former protege then he would have been done, and sued, but yet this idiot called Damir is still around popping shit. Can't someone help her. I feel for her, but if that was my family that was doing something like that to me, then I would have the local papers in their hometown talk about them so badly till they couldn't walk out in the streets with their faces shown. Everyone would know what kind of people they were. Why don't she do that to that clown, to show him that she means business. I mean there are a lot of emotions involved, but when do you stop lying down and taking shit and start standing up to fight for yourself?

I think with her sponsors and the wta involved in making money off of her, they should be someone to stand up and say enough is enough and assisting her in getting her life together. I think this is turning into a classic case where sponsors and the tour have failed a player. It is all about the money and not about Jelena, Damir proved that a long time ago, didn't he? No one listened, now I guess they will.

When I think of life, sometimes my response is "Oh Damn!". But I still think of life anyway, "Oh Damn!!!"

Riley is a fucking idiot (which isn't news, BTW). Maybe what the PR agent said was true. Maybe it wasn't. But look @ Riley's words on that subject. He chose not to push it, so therefore anything they said, like:

"Jelena Dokic is taking a break from tennis to rest & mentally get herself better. There is nothing physically wrong, she just needs some time to rest."

is automatically the full story. Riley, if you want to pretend 2B a journalist (like with the great Tennisrulz forgery caper @ Stanford '03) fucking act like one!
