Who is the best Czech?

Do you think Benesova, Koukalova, Strycova, Chladkoka or maybe Vaidisova is the bets Czech tennis player on WTA Tour?

I think it's Benesova an in 2nd place, Vaidisova.....

2. Benesova
3. Vaidisova

Hantuchova and Sprem are not Czech

I think Strycova is the best Czech, followed by Koukalova, Benesova and Vaidisova (soon she will move up).

When Jana Novotna retired I remember reading an interview Tennis magazine did with her and she was very blunt at that time about Czech Tennis.

She basically said we may never see another great Czech player in a long time because they were lazy and had no discipline.

Sad to say, her prediction seems to be true. I thought Daja Bedanova was going to become a big star and it never happened.(but it's not too late I think for her)

There is a lot of talent right now, but the Czech's don't seem to have the big results yet than say the Russian brigade do right now.

I hope the current crop of Czech players can prove Jana wrong.

I've watched Daja lately and unless she gets a LOT better, she isn't going to get back to her former level, much less higher. It's a shame; she seems to be a nice girl!

Nicole, I was hugely impressed by her. She's on the way to big things.

Nicole definitely has the biggest upside of any Czech player. She's future top 10 material.

I didnt know Jana said that, but Daja does seem to be without discipline.
But she was never predicted to become a big star anyways. However I do realize that they have so many junior talents and Nicole has even been invited to WTT. But none of them seem to have the kind of commitment Jana had. And no one is pressuring them anyways. But Jana is just such a great player, and she will be remembered for many, many years.
