Can the Russians possibly win an American HO summer series tournament!?

Of course they've never won one before. Do you want to see a Russian winning one. For example maybe Dementieva taking down Lindsay next round and then beats Serena to make her 0-3 in the last 3 finals to win the title?.
Or maybe Nastya taking down Maria and Serena and then beats Lindsay in the final to get a first ever summer series tournament title for the Russians? and thus announcing the Russian invasion on another surface.!?.

Yes, they can. If I remember correctly there is a chance that five russians make it to the last eight already at this tourney, so out of pure calculation, yes it is possible.

Currently, there is a 75% chance the Russian will win the tournament.
3 out of 4 semifinalists will be Russian.

Yes, a 75 percent possibility. Only probably L. Davenport can prevent them from victory.

Yep. And in semis Lindsay plays the only player out of three Russians who likes to play her and knows how to beat her.

hmm change americans to lindsay and then you have it about right. Lindsay seems unstoppable these days shes won two tournaments taken out two williams sisters and a few russians and a japanese player.

Now the question is can she carry it through to the us open or will she run out of gas?

Da.

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett

Not this week....seeing how good Lindsay is, I say no chance with any tournament Lindsay plays.
But next week, there is no more Lindsay, let's hope the Russians bring home one.

Don't be surprised if Amelie works out the kinks in her games and wins agian, like she did in 2002.
