She has a new check-up in a few days and only then she'll probably decide about when she'll come back.

Unfortunately there won't be much room left for her when she comes back. A certain Maria Sharapove took over the tour and started dominating. Kim should have won a Slam or two before the blonde beauty emerged. I'm pretty sure that Kim is regretting she didn't do it sooner. She must be wishing she could turn the clock back.
Poor Kimmy, she will have little to chance to get back to where she was before she got injured. Now, Maria will be too much for her. The same goes about Justine but she should be able to handle Maria's powerful yet versatile game betta.

Hey, don't forget Maria is now 10000 notches better than she was back then. Kim should be ready for a similar outcome with her on the losing side next time they face off.

back then is defined as less than a year..? maria doesn't seem to be very much different this whole year... kim should be able to handle her convincingly. unless kim's head gets screwed up...

Kim Clijsters always in my heart

WTATour.com wants to know...

If you could practice hitting some balls for one afternoon with a WTA Tour player, who would it be and why? In 100 words our less, let us know the reason you picked that player and we'll print your selection on WTATour.com.

My WTA Practice Partner Would Be... "It pleases me when I feel the crowd is entertained." - Venus Williams, proving Serena's not the only Williams sister who likes to perform in front of an audience.
Lindsay's Lovin' L.A. - For the second straight week, Lindsay Davenport proved to be the toughest competition on the California hard courts - winning her second title in as many weeks with a victory against Serena Williams on Sunday at the JPMorgan Chase Open. Only Five Times - In L.A., Lindsay Davenport became the first player to beat both Williams sisters in the same event since Kim Clijsters accomplished the feat at the 2002 WTA Tour Championships (Venus retired in SF, d. Serena in final). Overall, this feat has been achieved five times.
1. Henin-Hardenne - US Open
2. Clijsters - New Haven, US Open
3. Mauresmo - Montreal, US Open
4. Davenport - New Haven, US Open
5. Myskina - Montreal, Sopot, US Open
6. Dementieva - Montreal, NH, US Open
7. Capriati - Montreal, US Open
8. Sharapova - New Haven, US Open
9. Kuznetsova - US Open
10. V.Williams - US Open
11. Sugiyama - Montreal, US Open
12. Petrova - Montreal, New Haven, US Open
13. Suarez - Montreal, US Open
14. S.Williams - Montreal, US Open
15. Zvonareva - Montreal, Cincy, NH, US Open

Lindsay moves to No.4, Venus returns to the top 10 and Jelena Kostanic moves to a career-high in this week's Ranking Movers.

Ranking Movers - July 26, 2004 Big-time Lindsay Davenport fan Kyle Farrell of Daytona Beach, FL submitted this photo he had taken with his favorite WTA Tour player at this year's Bank of the West Classic at Stanford.

If you would like a photo that was taken with a WTA Tour player to be the weekly Fan Foto, please submit your photo to the link below. Remember to include your name, location where the photo was taken and any other details you'd like to share. We'll try to feature as many photos as we can.

Great news, if true.

** TP for Topaz or TennisPower **

"Playing aggressive tennis ... that's always the way to go, if you ask me." - Venus Williams, May/2002
"Some shots I will hit hard but not every ball. I'm not just using my power." - Serena Williams, Oct/2002

If Maria is dominating Women Tennis, then what did Justine do last year, Serena 2 years ago, Hingis at her time ???
Or maybe it was a joke you made ?
