Question If Offered, Should Venus Accept A Wild Card To Play In Montreal?

She said today that her wrist was feeling much better, but not good enough to play at the Acura Classic. I want to see her play again, but I don't think she should unless her wrist has healed 100%.

It could be risky. And she still has the Olympics and New Haven, I believe, to get match tough for the US Open, so playing Montreal might be unecessary/excessive.

I think she's not playing New Haven this year.

Not only is she not playing, neither is Jennifer, who is the defending champion.

Understandable with the Olympics smashed in there this year.

I think Venus should stay off the courts until the US Open. That wrist is so delicate that it should get as much rest as possible.

no she should just rest. how cares about rankings - the olympics is much more important and it's not like she hasn't had any matches lately

She has no points to defend, so it makes no sense for her to wild-card into Montreal. Rest your wrist, Venus.
