Can Monica Seles come out of semi-retirement to win another major?

I’m an avid Seles fan, but do you seriously think she has the credentials to win a major? She’s had injury after injury, with a mental breakdown to boot! Could she cope with the rigours of the modern game, and win another major trophy.
A few have remarked on her weight problem and eating disorder as reasons she has fallen by the wayside, but I think it’s just plain ridicule. If Monica attended a therapist I’m positive she could overcome many of her problems, and be back to her best within the next few years. Who knows, maybe she can win that Wimbledon title, that so many thought she incapable of attaining.

Good luck Monica, we all miss you!

I like Monica and all, but there's no way she can win another major. Sadly enough, I don't think she'll return to competitive tennis

Well, it's impossible. But I do hope she can win Wimbledon...but that's impossible.

I do think Monica will make a return to the tour, but no matter what my heart tells me, my head says that she will not win another major. If she can come back and string a few wins together, she will still be an asset to the game. What I would hate to see is for Monica to come back less than 100% fit and suffer humiliating defeats like the Petrova match at RG last year. new Haven is the planned event for the return, so let's wait and see if the foot is ready for action by then!

US Open Predictions: J-Cap, Davenport or Mauresmo to take the title!

Monica has stared impossible in the face before and defeated it.

Look at all these people counting Monica out - Well of course it will be hard for her to come back after all this time and win a Major. But after watching this woman play tennis for many years, I know not to count her out yet.
She might not come back to play competitive tennis again, but then again she just might. She has worked really hard to trim down in the past year, and she looks fantastic now. I still feel like if her foot is not hurting anymore, with more practice she can get that depth back and start winning again. But to win another GS, maybe not. But to just have her back playing again will be great for tennis. But who knows, we are talking about Monica Seles - she could very well continue on with her come back, go down to Australia next year and win.

If she wants to she can beat everyone She seems like more having fun, then actually playing. That sure is good for her. I guess she'll come back for only one tournament to say final goodbye I love you Monica you made me love tennis. Thanks for that. Come again to Belgrade and Novi Sad. Your birth country misses you MoniKa

No. I don't think Seles will win another major.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

Do tell Let us all in on this impossible task Monica performed.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "

How bout when she was down 3-6 0-3 to an onfire davenport and down 8 match points?

I know the chances are slim to none. I'm not an idiot ..I'll be happy if she comes back and plays but nothing in sports is impossible.
