Kasatkina exposed
If only someone had done that in Charleston

How did Daria play?
She was playing good in Charleston...
A mental giant like Ostapenko had trouble with her.

Wasn't this Kasagirl supposed to be a big deal on clay?

Vesnina won IW, it was not a soft 1st round for Kasatkina.
IDK how well played this was. Navarro is next, kerber's quarter

Tricky first match for Dasha... not surprising really, but disappointing.

Thought Kasatkina would give a better account of herself here. Nice win for 'Lena, though. :yeah:

I like these pictures, like Wozniacki with Venus or Bouchard with Sharapova
Most of the best players were prodigies from early age

Very sorry Dasha
But against Vesnina you can lose, that's no shame. And in the first set Dasha fought well!

Great win for Lena!
I would love to see her pick up her second title of the year here!
Disappointing from Dasha, but she is much better on outdoor clay. She and Lena are also good friends, so that could have been a factor in her mentality here. Hope to see great things from her in Roma and Paris.

Not really any easy draws in Stuttgart this week (apart from Radwanska)
Tough field.
I think Kasatkina's form will continue to be very up and down as she can get over powered but when it all comes together she's capable of going deep.

Dasha K
disappointing, but no shame in losing to the IW winner.
