Angie is lucky to have an easy draw, she might even defend her SF but she showed a weak performance really, she couldn´t push Duan deeper behind the baseline, if it wasn´t for Duan consistent UE Angie would be soon packing her suitcase

Consistent UE are a part of her game, just as much as her power or anything else. They are part of the package of Duan. It's almost like saying "Giorgi would win every match if not for her consistent UE" or "Angie would be the GOAT if she got every single ball back" :SNE:

Anyway yeah, not great form from the world #1. She'll be sliding down the rankings quickly if she doesn't find something before Wimbledon.

What a mess that scheduling was :spit:

Well, we know Angie is not playing great currently and that won't change from one day to another, so just glad she came through. Still so incredibly unclutch whenever she has a GP/BP/SP/MP. Then she chooses the poorest shots or just does nothing. So lucky that Duan gave her the two breaks with DFs in the second :hysteric:

That treatment of WTA #1 was not the tea. I know WTA is probably huge afterthought for tournament organizers atm but #1 should still be respected. No matter how she is playing. Murphy has been horrendous lately but i doubt he would be made to wait and pushed around had he decided to play Miami.

Another good matchup in theory next for Angie. Maybe these girls can play her into form a bit.

Kerber is in the softer half. Should beat Rogers and Georges, but julia always gives Wozniacki trouble.
I like this softer half and think Sveta might be the top half favorite, thats 3 matches away, she has to play Venus

okay, Angie will flop against Shelby next...
these are just SF pts t defend, so

Kasatkina watches it from the upper ranks (& will cry) but will contribute when she can't do it on court (somehow :tape: )
